Campaign Introduction:
Hi! I've been part of the CGSS council for the past two years, first as webmaster and then as social coordinator. In this time, I've come to learn a lot about the workings of the CGSS and I've proven myself a reliable member in helping to organize and execute events, such as the 2020 Graduate Forum, the 2021 Chemistry Careers Information Event, and a number of COVID-appropriate social events. This year I'd like to take on a role with slightly less responsibility during what I anticipate is going to be a busy year for me, and I think I am a perfect fit for the role of secretary: I have great organizational and communication skills for setting up monthly CGSS meetings among council members, and I'm detail-oriented for taking record of these meetings. I'll also gladly share my experience in my previous roles and advice with new councillors to ensure that the CGSS continues to function as smoothly as possible. Cheers!
